Recital receptions are optional and therefore require an extra fee to provide the service. In order for students to be
eligible to have a reception after their recital, they must fill out this Reception Application form completely, agree to pay the fees, follow the provided policies, and not have an “over
the top” reception that is unmanageable by one receptionist. The Reception Form must be completed no later than 2 weeks before your recital date. Failure to complete the form in time will result in no reception being available for you. If you have any questions, please refer the Recital Receptions section located in the CSUN Music Student Recital Handbook.
BE ADVISED: As we frequently have recitals taking place in both the Shigemi Matsumoto Recital Hall and in Nordhoff Hall 107 at the same time slot, if both recitals have requested a reception, the recital taking place in the Recital Hall has priority access to CY101 (conference room) for their reception while the recitalist in NH107 will have their reception in CY103. If a recital happening at the same time as your recital is not having a reception, then a recital taking place in NH107 may have their reception in CY101.
