LC Bates Museum - March 2023
This event will take place at the library unless we get more than 25 people signed up.  If we have more than 25 we will be at the town office or Grange.  You will receive a reminder email the week of the event with the updated location.

Bugs, Bugs, Bugs Learn about the wonderful variety of insects through models, specimens, pictures and slides. Practice “being a bug”. Explore mimicry, adaptation, camouflage, and metamorphosis

April 12 @ 11am
Trees: Magnificent Marvels Learn how trees grow and change. Examine trunk sections and leaf shapes, learn how to ID some common Maine trees, and explore simple or compound leaves. Use models to see inside a tree!

May 17 @ 11am
Alewives and water cycles.  Learn about the biology and life cycle of these fish.  We will also discuss run off and the importance of the water cycle to our waterways.
