Course Design Institute Registration
The Course Design Institute (CDI) is an intensive, one week, hands-on workshop that
provides instructors the opportunity to experience the iterative, dynamic, and scholarly
process of learning-focused course design.

The Course Design Institute will take place in person June 3 - 6 in Des Peres 213. All sessions will take place from 9:00 AM - 4:00PM Monday - Thursday. Participants must commit to attending all sessions during the CDI, and to completing "homework" each evening.

Space is limited; Deadline for submissions is May 10.

Are you...? *
Briefly describe (in 2-3 paragraphs) why you are interested in designing/redesigning a course during our Course Design Institute. *
What are your goals for student learning? How will your course help students achieve those goals? If you are redesigning an existing course, what would you like to accomplish with your redesign? Are there aspects of your course that you expect will be particularly difficult to design?
What course do you plan to design/redesign during the Institute? *
What is the course # and title? Is it a course for the major? What level of students generally take the course (e.g., undergraduates, first-year Master's students, doctoral students)?
Is this intended to be a Core course? If so, please indicate the type below. (Choose all that apply.)
Is the course team-taught/co-taught? *
If the course is team-taught/co-taught, is the other instructor also applying to participate in the Course Design Institute?

Agreements *
As a participant in the Course Design Institute, I agree to: Attend all scheduled meetings. Read all assigned materials and complete “homework” assignments on time. Provide the Reinert Center with a final or near-final syllabus on the last day of the Institute and a final version once I teach the course (for assessment of the CDI). Participate in on-going assessment efforts related to the impact the CDI experience has on teaching beliefs and practices.  I understand that the CDI is an intensive experience and that I’ll spend approximately 40 hours over the week working on my course design. I will clear my schedule to the fullest extent possible. By checking the box below, you agree to the these terms.
