2023 FEDHH Call for Proposals
We are planning the 2023 FEDHH Conference. This conference will be held in Gainesville, FL on November 10-11, 2023. 

The conference focuses on professional development and collaboration of individuals who work with children and students who are deaf/hard of hearing and includes sessions and breakouts.

The sessions are designed to allow participants to educate themselves on the principles, strategies, and tools that will enable them to provide effective services to their students/clients. It is also designed to allow participants to network and collaborate with other professionals in the field and to provide support for our community.

Our breakout sessions target strategies and/or practices attendees can implement immediately in their instructional delivery. Sessions will be 60 minutes (45 minute presentations/15 minute Q&A)

Guidelines for Session Presentations:
Presentation proposals should address effective practices, strategies, innovations, and tools for services provided to young children and students who have a hearing loss. Possible topics may be the following:

*Evidenced based interventions/remediating deficits
*Monitoring progress for IEP & using data to drive instruction
*HS Non-Readers & Deaf +
*Early Writing/Developing writing with Deaf/HH students
*Collaborating with peers & professionals
*Bilingualism/Multi-language strategies
*Closing the achievement gap - data, best practice, etc.
*Legal issues
*Social Skills/Social Emotional Learning
*Phonics/Visual Phonics & Language
*Educational Audiology
*Best Practices for SLPs
*Vocabulary Development
*Advocacy
*Parent/Family involvement

Deadline for submission is May 15th, 2023, but may be extended as needed. If the form is open submissions are still being accepted.  We appreciate your time in putting together a proposal for our FEDHH conference.
