Open up to page 3 with the flower faceup. Please show your child how to cut on the heavy lines. Set the yellow crosses aside. Next your child will need crayons and a pencil. Help your child to draw their own face in the middle of the flower and color on the petals, leaves, and stem. *

When your child has finished the flower side, direct them to turn the page over. Once turned over, help your child complete the "Age," "I can " and "Height" lines. *

Next, please help your child to fold their papers on the dotted line with the flower on the inside. Read the title aloud them. Then please explain that Lent is a time when we grow in loving God and in showing love towards one another. Lastly, tell your child to lift the flap to see their flowers grow. *
