Thank you for your interest in coaching for Utah Surf Soccer! First and foremost, we want to emphasize that we are a performance-based club but our focus and vision reach far beyond the recorded results of the game! Excellence in personal effort and team development is how we measure our level of success. Our mission is to cultivate INTEGRITY, DISCIPLINE, RESPONSIBILITY and WORK ETHIC in a safe and positive soccer environment. Soccer competition is the means by which we can cultivate these values.
Selected candidates will have the opportunity to be mentored by one of our experienced coaches during the upcoming spring season.
Expectations:
- Create a US Soccer Learning Center account (free) – https://learning.ussoccer.com/sign-up/personal-details
- Complete the Intro to Grassroots course (free, 20 minutes) listed in available course in the menu of the US Soccer Learning Center – https://learning.ussoccer.com/coach/courses/available/16/details/1546
- 2 month commitment period (mid March-mid May)
- Attend a minimum of 1 scheduled practice per week
- Attend a minimum of 4 season games for assigned team during the spring 2024 season
- Attend coach education clinics if scheduled during mentorship
- Participate in a minimum of 2 director check in meetings during mentorship
