VBS is June 4-7, 2024 (Tuesday-Friday)

6:00-8:00pm, each evening

Friday night will be Family Night

*Optional dinner for volunteers and families will be offered from 5:00-6:00 each evening.

*All volunteers will also have a VBS meeting with their team in the week leading up to VBS. Most will meet on Saturday, June 1.

For VBS 2024, the following areas are my top choices. Select at least 3 areas of service. (Different teams have different volunteer needs in terms of number of team members, but also in terms of skills/talents and volunteer time commitments.) *

Greeter Team - Greet volunteers, families, and children as they arrive and direct them to the right locations throughout each evening.

Hospitality Team - Visit volunteer team throughout the evening and provide snacks and encouragement!

Childcare Team - Care for and teach younger children of our JCBC Volunteer Team (birth-3yrs old).

Group Leader Team - Lead a group through the pre-planned VBS activities and programming (PreK team or Grade School Team).

Craft Team - Lead pre-planned crafts for age-specific groups (PreK Team or Grade School Team).

Rec Team - Lead pre-planned games for age-specific groups (PreK Team or Grade School Team).

Storytelling Team - Teach pre-planned nightly Bible stories for age-specific groups (PreK Team or Grade School Team).

Missions Team - Engage children and families in mission emphasis throughout the week.

Celebration Team - Lead the Celebration/Worship time during VBS using musical and/or acting skills.

Snack Team - Provide children with snacks and smiles during VBS.

Decorations Team - Help creatively transform JCBC into Camp Firelight prior to VBS.

Registration Team - Help organize and prepare VBS registrations for check-in and help families check in each night of VBS.

Meal Service Team - Set up, manage, and clean up optional pre-VBS meals for families.

(YOUTH ONLY) - Production Team - Help run lights, sounds, and videos for Celebration during VBS.
