Vice President (Board Vote):
Serves three years: 1 year as Vice President, 1 year as President, and 1 year as immediate Past President.
Secretary (Board Vote):
Serves two years: The Secretary takes minutes at each board meeting and accurately records all votes and discussion. They solicit committee reports from board members prior to each board meeting and compile all board materials to disseminate to board members at least 5 days prior to meetings. This position is part of the Executive Committee.
Internal Advisor (Board Vote):
Serves two years: The Internal Advisor ensures the board adheres to GGFYP’s bylaws. They review bylaws on an annual basis and bring forward recommendations for amendment as necessary. They advise the board on GGFYP business and past history. The Internal Advisor manages the grievance process. This position is part of the Executive Committee
Community Involvement Chair (Board Vote):
The Community Involvement Committee focuses on ways to connect Young Professionals to the community, and vice versa. The committee partners with other local nonprofit organizations and provides access to community activities and volunteer opportunities.
Professional Development Chair (Board Vote):
Serves two years: The Professional Development Committee works to create opportunities for Young Professionals to grow in their careers through formal and informal organized events. Some of the events include luncheons with a professional development related topics, mentoring programs, opportunities to network with area business executives, professional networking, and leadership development seminars.
Member-At-Large (Member Vote):
Serves two years after running in the Member-At-Large election where GGFYP members will vote to have a representative on the Board who represents the feelings of the general YP membership.

Social Events Chair (Board Vote):
Serves two years: The Social Committee hosts social events to help Young Professionals make meaningful connections through new experiences. The social events committee introduces YPs to the many adventures and opportunities our community has to offer. Social Events Committee will plan social opportunities, meet ups and signature events, including ArtSee, the Annual Picnic and Mini Putt Putt Golf Tournament. The committee plans logistics, organizes volunteers, manages set-up, and oversees the overall growth of these events.
Treasurer (Board Vote):
Serves two years: The Treasurer is responsible for keeping up-to-date financial statements for our organization and presenting them at each GGFYP board and advisory board meeting. They lead discussion and coordination surrounding GGFYP’s annual budget. They work one-on-one with the Executive Director to audit financial transactions and ensure our taxes are correctly submitted yearly. This position is part of the Executive Committee.

Any young professional is eligible to apply for a position. If you are not a current member of GGFYP, you will need to join in order to be eligible to be selected.
Eligibility requirements:
-Current (or will be a current) member of GGFYP;
-Able to attend GGFYP's monthly board meetings (currently scheduled 2nd Thursday of each month from 10:00-11:30 am)
-Able to host monthly committee meetings (Committee Chairs Only).

- Step 3: Notification of application status (November 9th)
- *Member-At-Large Election: November 9th - November 23rd
- Step 4: Board of Director Onboarding (December)
- Step 5: If selected for a position, Board Commitment Term Begins (January)
