Retirement is a big step, which involves a series of steps and agencies who all have separate processes, dates, timelines, and procedures. As the employee and future retiree, it is your responsibility to contact each individual agency for their specific paperwork, guidelines, and procedures. Please keep in mind that you are only separating from CCSD; you will be officially retiring with PERS. This information is intended to provide general information only. ALL CCSD separations of employment must be completed through the  CCSD HCM Employee Self Service (ESS) system. 1)  Access ESS by using the HCM icon for ESS located on your desktop or at hcm.ccsd.net   2) Select the Separation/LOA Request tile  3) Select NEW REQUEST.  Follow the prompts in ESS.
