Join the BLM, National Forest Foundation and the Chaffee Rec Adopters to get the Shavano Wildlife area ready for designated dispersed camping! Work projects will include removing fire rings, installing sign posts, and other relevant tasks to get the sites ready! 

Friday, August 4

9am - 1pm

Bring: Gloves, closed-toed shoes, shovels/rakes. Water bottle & food. Hat, long pants and sleeves recommended.  A light lunch and snacks will be provided! 

Meeting area will be determined closer to the event.

What we're aiming to accomplish:

• Install site posts
• Clearly define sites
• Decommission non-designated sites
• Reseeding
