Support Team (Volunteer) Application
Thank you for your interest in joining the California Balboa Classic Support Team!  

Every year CalBal relies on a Support Team of people that have the skills and drive which contribute towards the event's flow, positive energy, customer experience, and overall success.  Deadline to complete this application is November 30th!  Responses will be sent to you by email by Dec. 8.  

To fill the support team roles, we look for people who have specific schedules, skillsets, passion, and reliability as well as a need for financial support.  

We are happy to be able to compensate this team by trading a full event pass for approximately 9-11 hours of committed time covering jobs that occur throughout the weekend during our live event. 
The compensation rate (in trade, volunteer hours to event pass) is equivalent to $23 to $27 per hour. We call attention to this compensation rate equivalency because we want our Support Team members to understand that you are assets to our team. You absolutely are crucial to us!

We need team members from Thursday afternoon through Monday morning (Jan. 12-16) with the bulk of work falling on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 
We try to accommodate any requests or availability restrictions when we are able.  Please plan to be available at the very least from Friday morning through Sunday for 1-2 hours after midnight. Applicants with a wider range of available time may be prioritized.  

Please be sure to read our Safety Policy and Code of Conduct before applying. Our entire staff is an integral part of CalBal's community, safety and success. We ask all our staff members to hold themselves to at least as high of a standard as we expect of attendees.
