I agree to pay replacement cost for any lost or severely damaged books.
I will supervise my family: Clean hands, no drinks, turn pages from the top edge, enjoy!
I will use flat book marks to mark pages, no sticky notes, bent pages or clips please!
I will return books in a timely manner (6 weeks).
When damage is found I will insert a piece of paper with a note marking the spot. (most damage caused by appropriate use can be repaired)
I will store books in a flat stack (front cover up) or shelved with the spine out, rather than placing books in a bin or tub with the spine up. Storing books on a shelf or in a tub with cover facing up protects the spine!
I will avoid water when handling, storing or transporting books! (No bathtub or drinks required to read)
When at the library we will be respectful of all animals, books, instruments and people.
I will attend open library times or schedule library visits every 6-8 weeks.
I will let my librarian know about books I’d like to see.
