Register for Safe Church Training
Safe Church, Safe Communities (formerly called Safeguarding God's Children) training helps our church communities to create a safe environment, especially for children, youth, and vulnerable adults, and helps to guide and protect all of our volunteers.

As part of the policies and procedures for the Diocese of Western Michigan, all people who engage in pastoral relationships, including licensed lay ministers (worship leaders, lay Eucharistic ministers, lay Eucharistic visitors) and vestry members must complete this training every three years.

In-person trainings will take place in the parish hall at either St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Cadillac or St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Big Rapids.
St. Mary's: 815 Lincoln St, Cadillac, MI
St. Andrew's: 323 S State St, Big Rapids, MI

Zoom trainings will take place online. The Zoom meeting link and training materials will be emailed to you prior to the training. Registration is limited to 15 people for each Zoom training.

Trainings will be facilitated by Mtr. Radha Kaminski, Coach for Children, Youth, and Young Adult Ministry for the Northern Collaborative and Rector of the Central Michigan Episcopal Covenant.
Contact Mtr. Radha Kaminski at rector.cmec@gmail.com with any questions.
