Student MUST graduate from Wrangell High School
$100 must be paid to Megan at the WHS Office before May 8th (Credit Card payments by phone preferred)

Eligibility Statement:
If a student has been present in the district for his or her entire high school career, a buyout plan will be determined for the student’s laptop. This is under the condition that the student still has the same machine he or she was issued as a 9th grader, has paid for any damage incurred if repairs were possible in house, has paid the fees each year, and has signed all required. Wrangell Public Schools Student Technology Handbook paperwork. If a student transfers in during high school, that student may also have the opportunity to purchase his or her computer. The price will be determined by the tech staff, with board approval, based on the computer’s fair market value and/or the District’s depreciation schedule.
Students that were assigned equipment that was damaged and not able to be repaired, for any issue, are not eligible for laptop purchase.

Laptops must be cleared of district software and disconnected from district systems before private ownership begins. This can be done remotely with a stable and fast internet connection or in person. Reinstalling OSX will be required after the deletion of District software.

STUDENTS SHOULD BE READY FOR THEIR LAPTOP TO BE CLEARED by MAY 8th!

Deletion of Device Data on Transfer of Ownership

If you are eligible for the district device buy-out plan, your device from the district upon graduation, your device will be erased remotely, or in-person by appointment, you will be responsible for installing OSX over a wifi network allowing you a fresh start and personal license. Students who transferred to Wrangell High School during and were issued a device MAY be eligible for the district buy out plan, dependent upon the device and fair market value.
