Community Garden Agreement
The Center for Service – Learning and Community Engagement has loaned out ______ garden bed(s) to __________________________, a student/ staff/faculty member connected to Austin Peay State University during the following time span: April 1, 2024 – October 31, 2024
The following resources are supplied to the loaned bed:
• Access to a water source and hose
• Lock code access to the garden
• Raised Garden Bed(s) filled with medium grade soil
The following are restrictions as to what may be grown/used in the garden bed(s):
• No invasive plants to Clarksville, TN
• No plants that have the potential to spread out of the garden bed by airborne seeds
• No chemical fertilizers or bug sprays – please use organic practices to the best of your ability and price range.
• No growth of illegal plants
The following housekeeping procedures should be followed:
• All plants must be contained within the garden bed and cannot drape over the edge of the bed(s).
• Leave no tools out in the garden area when you are not present
• Lock the garden gate when you are not present
• Do not leave the hose out when not present – place hose in identified bucket by water source
• Do not leave rotting vegetables unharvested as they attract animals
• Clean up any trash
If garden bed has not been maintained for longer than 3 weeks, you will lose rights to your plot.
Failure to meet any the guidelines listed above will result in a terminated agreement.
Access to your garden bed(s) begins on April 1, 2023 and ends on October 31, 2023. At the end of the growing season please leave the beds cleared of vegetation debris.
