BCSD Parent and Family Reopening Survey
This is a quick survey to gauge current parent and family thinking about the upcoming school year.  We will use this information to help us plan for the school year.  Please note when we refer to a return to school, we will be implementing a "hybrid" model at the beginning of the school year.  In this model, students are in school 2-3 days a week and working remotely at home the other days.  This is done to lower class sizes and make social distancing possible.  We will use this information to help guide our planning for the return to school.  We may have an additional survey in August as well when we learn more information.  I appreciate the time you take to help us plan!  Please try to complete the survey by Tuesday, July 28.

The Beacon City School District is planning to implement all of the New York Department of Health reopening schools health and safety guidelines.  If Governor Cuomo allows for the return of students to schools, what is your greatest concern?
The New York Department of Health and Education Departments are asking districts to provide remote learning for families who request it due to the health conditions of their child or a family member.   In our attempt to gather tentative numbers, will you be planning on requesting remote instruction at the beginning of the year? (You will not be asked to make a final decision about this until mid-August)
If you answered yes to the above question, what reason are you requesting remote instruction?
What social/emotional supports do you anticipate your child needing next year whether they return to school or are remote or both?
