DIAMAS resource documentation form

DIAMAS is an EU-funded project which aims to support Open Access Diamond and institutional publishing by setting clear standards, increasing visibility, and promoting the sustainability of a diverse publishing landscape.

We encourage you to join us in identifying resources addressing the quality and transparency of governance, processes and workflows in publishing. We will use the resources as primary material to develop a range of outputs and a tool suite, which will offer practical support to institutional publishers and service providers. We will also compile and publish a registry of materials: a full list of resources with all relevant info (link, description, language and other descriptive metadata) that will become available to the whole community for further use.

Furthermore, this registry will address and provide support for the adoption of the criteria of the Extensible Quality Standard for Institutional Publishing (EQSIP) developed by the DIAMAS project.

Documentation criteria

Resources should address aspects such as: journal funding; Ownership and governance; Open Science practices; Editorial quality, management and research integrity; Technical service efficiency; Visibility; and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI).

  • Languages: As part of the project’s commitment to multilingualism, we aim to gather resources in various languages, and compile a registry with global relevance. If the resource is available in a language other than English, a translation of the title and a short account of its content may be provided in English.
  • Timespan: The suggested timespan is 10 years, but older resources that are pertinent or highly relevant may also be included.
  • Types and formats: We are looking for guidelines, best practices, training resources, toolkits and documentation materials.  Non-textual resources and material types (e.g. presentations, recordings, tools) can also be included.
  • Commitment to Open Science: To ensure immediate and full access to the resources, priority should be given to Open Access materials hosted on platforms that do not require user registration.

* Up to 3 resources may be included in this form. If needed, additional forms may be completed by using the same link.
