Session overview:

  • Develop an understanding of how maths is sequenced in the Early Years Framework and National Curriculum

  • Consider how to deliver a carefully sequenced and coherent curriculum.

  • Learn how to develop children's skills to use and apply maths in a variety of contexts

  • Explore different types of fluency & understand the importance of practice and the development of automaticity

  • Share and discuss effective resources for teaching maths.

  • Observe maths learning in action from Nursery to Year 2 by taking part in a maths learning walk
