Join the planning team for the 2022 COMPES Professional Development Conference. COMPES - the Coalition of Minority Professional Engineering Societies - is made up of the Detroit professional sections of NSBE, SHPE, and SWE. Each year we come together to put on our premier annual event, bringing together engineers from across SE MI for a day of growth and networking.

This year’s conference will once again be virtual, along with all of the planning meetings. We’ll have weekly planning meetings on Tuesday evenings, 5:30-6:30PM, along with midday Friday, 12-1PM. The first meetings will be held on Feb 1 and Feb 4. If you can only make one, or neither of these times - don’t worry you can still contribute. Opportunities are available for varying levels of commitment, from planning coordinators to day-of-event volunteers. The tentative date for this year’s conference is May 14.
