On behalf of the University of Toronto's Department of Psychiatry and the Muslim Medical Association of Canada, we are excited to invite you to the fifth Canadian Muslim Mental Health Conference. This year, tphe CMMHC will take place virtually on December 11th and 12th 2021.
As mental health professionals, we recognize that Imams are the first point of contact for many Muslim Canadians with mental health concerns. In an effort to try to reduce barriers to accessing the conference, we have launched the "100 Imam Initiative" where we are inviting 100 imams from across Canada to participate in the conference by receiving a complimentary ticket. Imams who attend will receive access to mental health training that will help them support the well-being and mental health of the Muslim communities they serve.
This year, we have also added an additional workshop to our conference that aims to support imams in navigating the mental health needs of their community. This specific workshop for Imams will be held on December 11th, 2021 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
If you are an Imam/Chaplain/Religious scholar/Spiritual leader in Canada, please complete the following form to receive a complimentary ticket to the conference.
You can also support the initiative by sponsoring a ticket at
