Teaching with Primary Sources: Thinking Historically about Race and Whiteness—Possibilities for Antiracist Pedagogies
*We are at capacity* Please do reach out to Emily at ejhowe@ucsc.edu or Daisy at daisymar@ucsc.edu if you have any immediate questions.*

Join us for our free three-day virtual workshop sponsored by the Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources program happening on June 21, June 22, and June 23, 2021 from 9:30am-12:30pm PST each day.

The workshop will be held on Zoom.

In this workshop, you will hear from speakers, work collaboratively, and examine primary sources to develop a lesson using sources from the Library of Congress to engage your students. Expect to spend each day in a virtual session that will include speakers, small group work,  and breaks, and approximately one hour doing independent work beyond the daily virtual session.

We will have 2 follow-up sessions in Fall 2021.

A highlight of our work together will be a Keynote talk with Dr. George Lipsitz, Professor of Black Studies and Sociology at UC Santa Barbara.

We will provide stipends to participants who attend all sessions and complete all requirements.
