Application to join WyoPanama 3.0 (J-Term 2023)
Thank you for your interest in joining the WyoPanama field course, a course offering of the University of Wyoming. The official course title is "Exploring the Ecological Culture of Panama" (HP-4152). In January 2023, in addition to exploring some about human-nature interactions in Panama, we will be using detailed studies of mixed-species bird flocks to explore basic ecological questions and aspects of scientific communication. Please answer the following questions; these questions should give you some idea about what you might expect from this course. Your answers will also help the instructor team see how you might best fit on the J-term 2023 WyoPanama team! We look forward to hearing from you!

Course dates: 3-16 January 2023
Estimated cost: ~$3200 estimated maximum (this includes all food, airfare, lodging, activities). This is all dependent on airfare. This can be offset by UW travel grants (Honors/Cheney/etc.). Actual average cost to students historically runs about $1200-$1700.
Course instructors: Patrick Kelley and Bethann Merkle (Department of Zoology and Physiology, UW).
Class size: 10 students
