Each year, the SFA Home & School Association relies on many volunteers for various school activities and events.  Whether it is once a month once a week or once a year, we appreciate the time and talents that you give!  There are many opportunities in which to share your gifts and we hope each family will find a way to volunteer this year.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Please read the descriptions and then click on the boxes of the position(s) that you wish to volunteer for.
SCHOOL NUTRITION
CAFETERIA VOLUNTEER11:00 a.m. – 12:05 p.m.
Assist students with condiments and dismissal as needed.   Parents can bring young siblings. Grandparents or other relatives are welcome to volunteer, as well.  Indicate which day of the week you would like to volunteer.
SCHOOL KITCHEN SERVING VOLUNTEER 11am-12:30pm
Serve food on the school lunch line during lunch periods.  All volunteers must complete a short in-service of safe food handling practice. Two volunteers per day are needed.  No small children allowed in kitchen area.  Indicate which day of the week and frequency; once a week/month or every other week.
CLASSROOM OPPORTUNITIES
HOMEROOM PARENTS
2 or more parents needed per classroom to assist with classroom celebrations, including teacher's birthday.  Please indicate the grade that you wish to be a homeroom parent for.

JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT
Volunteers are needed in the classroom to teach the Junior Achievement curriculum.  This is a very flexible position and takes about 30-45 minutes a week for 5-6 weeks in the classroom.  Training and materials are provided.  Please indicate which teacher's class you would prefer to help with.
TALKING CANVAS VOLUNTEER (Grades K-5)
4 or more parent volunteers needed per classroom to use pre-created prezie presentations and an art project to expose students to various artists and their work. Training is provided. Please indicate which teacher’s classroom you would prefer to help with.
ART ROOM ASSISTANT
Work with the art teacher by providing hands on assistance to students in grades K-2.  The day and time commitment varies according to the school schedule.  It will be designated at the beginning of the school year.  Please indicate the teacher’s classroom that you would prefer to help.

Fundraising Opportunities
SCHOOL SPIRIT
Help select SFA school spirit items to be offered for sale during the school year. Volunteers are needed to help sell School Spirit items during conferences and after some weekend masses.
Yearbook Committee
USED UNIFORM SALE VOLUNTEER
Assist with collection, set up, and tear down of the uniform sales that are held periodically through out the year.
BID 4 THE KIDS:  St. Francis School Auction
The success of this important fundraiser would not be possible without the time and talent of many volunteers.  There are several opportunities to get involved, whether periodically throughout the school year or during the weekend of the event.  Thank you for considering how you can contribute to the success of the auction as a volunteer this year!

General Auction Activities
SFA Auction Class Gift Coordinator
 Responsible for coordinating, planning and preparing the SFA Auction class gift for their assigned grade level.  Works with the SFA Auction committee in determining what the gift will be and coordinating production of the gift to include student involvement and assistance from the grade level homeroom parents as needed.  There will be one coordinator assigned for each grade level.
GRADE LEVEL PARTY HOST
Open your home to host the annual grade level party.  (The homeroom parents help coordinate.)
SCHOOL SUPPORT
PLAYGROUND RECESS VOLUNTEER (11:30am-12:45pm)
Volunteers needed to monitor safety and appropriate use of playground equipment, ensure christ-like interactions between students, escort student to the grassy field, and supervise equipment retrieval at the end of recess.
PBIS Reward Program
Volunteers will be needed at least every other week (minimum). Sign up for this minimal time commitment as much or as little as you wish.  Please specify grade you wish  to help with in the "other" box.
