We will have a ‘Family Fun Day’ event at Kukui Grove Mall in Lihue on Wednesday October 9th 10am to 1pm. Children’s musician Uncle Wayne will be performing. There will be keiki fun crafts and family resource tables. See the attached flyer.

If your organization is interested in having a resource table at the event, please let register by Friday September 27th. There are a limited number of tables available. Please also let us know if you plan to have arts and crafts or keiki activities at your table.

The target audience for the event are children and their families. The theme is on child abuse neglect prevention, family strengthening, as well as healthy activities for children (e.g. healthy nutrition, Lead prevention etc.). It will also be held during the week of school fall break.
 
The event is sponsored by Hawaii Children’s Action Network (HCAN) and Family Hui Hawaii (FHH) with support from DOH to conduct promotional educational events on child abuse and neglect prevention and family strengthening. Hale Opio and Family Health Services Program / Kauai District Health Office are assisting locally.
