2024 Base Ref Test for Stonewall Kickball - Richmond

Teams are required to provide 2 team members to base referee when scheduled. Only those players that have taken and passed this Base Ref Test will be permitted to base referee for their team.

Even though teams only need 2 players to base referee when scheduled, please get as many players as you can to take the test. Also, feel free to use this quiz to brush up on some of the rules.

What is the penalty for an encroachment? *

A fielding team is allowed a warning for each of the three types of encroachment - pitcher, catcher, and fielder.

A fielding team is given one warning for the first offense and then receives an out on their next kicking lineup for each subsequent offense.

The kicker will be awarded one "ball" regardless of the offense without warnings given. The Kicking Team Captain may decline the encroachment penalty and keep the results of the play.
