Thank you for your interest in teaching Contact Improvisation at our summer camp this year. We are looking for dedicated and passionate teachers who can contribute to a progressive teaching program aimed at supporting both beginners and more experienced CI dancers on their learning journey with the practice.
This year, we are excited to announce that we have two large workshop spaces available, allowing us to offer simultaneous workshops throughout the camp. One workshop space will focus on the Contact part, emphasising the technique and catering to beginner and intermediate dancers. The other workshop space will centre around Improvisation, exploring creative and supportive practices aimed at more experienced dancers.
We are also seeking a fun selection of short warm-ups into CI jams and morning somatic-based practices, these may include elements of meditation, dance, movement, and improvisation.
If you are passionate about teaching Contact Improvisation and have workshop ideas aligned with our progressive teaching program (outlined within the form), we invite you to submit an application. Your expertise and dedication will play a vital role in creating a transformative experience for our camp participants.
Please complete the application form below (you don't have to fill in all the parts), providing detailed information about your workshop proposals and your experience as a Contact Improvisation teacher.
It is essential to be at the camp for the whole duration, to support the group process. Wednesday 26th June - Monday 1st July 2024. We appreciate your time and look forward to reviewing your application.
Teaching fees are based on the number of sessions you teach and your level of experience. We pay up to £70 per teaching hour (2.5 hours = £175), depending on experience, with a maximum of 4 teaching sessions per teacher.
You'll have access to the full camp outside of your sessions, with food (breakfast, lunch & dinners) and camping (bring your own tent).
All your responses are saved as you go.
Before filling out this form, I suggest watching the short film below to give you a feel for the camp.
Applications close on 31st March 2024
