Think back on your day - when did you pray today? Maybe you prayed before the 3 meals you ate today; well, that would total around 2 minutes. Maybe you also prayed when you got up or went to bed. Maybe you said a quick prayer to help you find something you lost, or for traffic to clear on your way into work. That was maybe around 5 minutes. Let’s be generous and say that the average Christian at Elloree FBC prays for 20 minutes each day. For your 24 Hour prayer, you would have to pray 3 times that in one sitting. Now you may be thinking that you’re in over your head. Honestly, you’re not. We have put together a guide for your hour to fly by. 

Remember, prayer is communicating with God. It should have components of listening and talking. Could you imagine being in a meeting with someone for an hour and all they did was talk the whole time? Don’t feel pressure to talk to God the whole time; leave space for listening as well. We also encourage you to pray out loud or write out your prayers. Clear your schedule for this hour, try to quiet the distractions around you and make the most of this hour.
