2021 AMC Survey to discern/nominate Persons for AMC Committees and Positions
The purpose of this survey is to give the AMC congregation the opportunity to:
       1. express interest in serving on a committee or in a position,
       2. identify persons in the congregation who have the gifts to serve on AMC committees/positions
       3. volunteer for Sunday morning duties.

Introduction – Austin Mennonite Church thrives as a community of faith, fellowship and service because of the participation of committed people volunteering their time, creativity and resources.  Thank you for your participation and support. Below is a list of the committees and positions in the church and a brief description of their duties and activities.

The Process – After the Gift Discernment Committee (Deacons Stacey Borasky Ferguson and Ted Torres, Moderator Natalie Bott, and Pastor Lee Lever) receives the surveys back from the congregation it will recommend one person for each open position. Persons will be notified that they are being nominated before recommending them to the congregation. A list of the nominees will be recommended to the congregation, for affirmation.

Committee participation is a two year commitment with the possibility of renewing for additional two year terms.  Individuals are advised not to serve on more than two committees. Committees are self-organizing in terms of choosing a chair and various assignments within the committee.  Committee chairpersons also serve on the Coordinating Council which has overall management responsibility of AMC and is responsible to the congregation.  The Council is made up of moderator, pastor, deacons, and the chair (or representative) from each committee and usually meets quarterly.)
