Lochwinnoch Park Olympics - Individual Events

Okay Lochwinnoch, let's get out there and raise some money to improve our Park. We've put together a number of events that will help us do two things: 1). Raise money to help improve this recreational space, for all ages. 2). Help us demonstrate to main funders that the community really supports this idea.

It will also be fun and help you keep fit. This event is going live 1st April and your chosen event can take place any time within that month.

You can also compete as part of a Team. Maybe you would like to do this with work colleagues, or friends, or as a family groups. (Registration for Team Events is via this form: https://forms.gle/ZSTX9VkNJ47YaYpq5)

Which event do you want to take part in? *

Sponsored NOT Walk (All Ages): This event is for any age group and involves doing a circuit of the playing field NOT walking; You can jump, hop, skip, dance, forward roll, cartwheel, but we suggest avoiding the temptation to make this a swimming event; If the river is high or there is any flooding, please find an alternative route or choose a different day.

Sponsored Scoot / Cycle (Suggested for under 14s): Can you complete the BMX track 10 times during the month of April on your bike or scooter?

Sponsored Cycle Challenge (Suggested for over 14s): There are two distance categories for this challenge and you can choose depending on your age and ability. The shorter route is 10km and a longer route of 60km. Can you complete that distance in one day? You can choose your own route but we ask that you start and finish in the park.

Sponsored Walk / Run (All ages): This event is basically a marathon challenge. We are asking you to complete 42km in one of three time categories: One day, one week or one month. You can do this in any amount of runs/walks but we ask that the first one begins and the last one ends in the park.

Alternate: Do you have your own idea of something you would like to do that is a challenge? Could it involve Yoga or Metafit or a sponsored litter pick?
