Die 7. Wiederauffüllungskonferenz des Globalen Fonds steht vor der Tür! Wichtige Weichen für die Zukunft werden gestellt. Noch wissen wir nicht in welcher Höhe sich die Bundesregierung beteiligen wird. Davon wird maßgeblich abhängen, wie die Programme des Globalen Fonds weiter finanziert werden können. Wir erwarten und fordern, dass die Bundesregierung dazu einen fairen Beitrag leistet. Überdeutlich ist, dass die nachhaltigen Entwicklungsziele bis 2030 ohne weitere Anstrengungen zur Beendigung von Aids, Tuberkulose und Malaria nicht erreicht werden können. Bereits ohne COVID-19 war dies eine große Herausforderung und ist heute wichtiger, denn je. Eine nachhaltige Politik ist deshalb dringend erforderlich.

Unsere Konferenz stellt den Abschluss unserer gemeinsamen Arbeit für die 7. Wiederauffüllungskonferenz dar. Wir verweisen auf die Bedeutung des globalen Fonds für das Überleben von Menschen mit HIV, TB und Malaria, die Stärkung der Gesundheitssysteme und der Grundprinzipien nach denen der Globale Fonds Programme umsetzt. Wir verweisen mit der Konferenz auch auf die Bedeutung einer nachhaltigen Politik: Beträge, die zur Finanzierung des Globalen Fonds freigegeben werden, sind gut angelegt!

Eingeladen sind Vertreter*innen der nationalen und der internationalen Zivilgesellschaft und der von HIV, Tuberkulose und Malaria betroffenen Gruppen, Parlamentarier*innen und Vertreter*innen der Ministerien.

The 7th Replenishment Conference of the Global Fund is just around the corner! Important decisions are being made for the future. We do not yet know how much the German government will contribute but we expect a fair share contribution with a minimum of 30% increase of its funding compared to the last funding cycle. This will largely determine how the Global Fund's programs can continue to be financed. It is abundantly clear that the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals cannot be achieved without further efforts to end AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. Even without COVID-19, this was a major challenge and is more important today than ever. A sustainable policy is therefore urgently needed.

Our hybrid conference in Berlin represents an opportunity to take stock right before the 7th Replenishment Conference. We refer to the importance of the Global Fund for the survival of people living with HIV, TB and malaria, the strengthening of health systems and the basic principles according to which the Global Fund implements programs. With the conference, we also point out the importance of a sustainable policy: amounts released to finance the Global Fund are money well spent!

Representatives of national and international civil society and groups affected by HIV, tuberculosis and malaria, parliamentarians and representatives of ministries are invited.  

We are looking forward to the joint conference!
