What I'm trying to achieve by setting up an alumni network:

1) To set up cross-curricular projects where alumni will work with students to help them understand better what follows school and, in particular, the world of work and 'life skills' in general (including the understanding that plans change and don't always come to fruition)
2) Help students understand that there is a whole range of employment opportunities of which they may not yet be aware
3) Create links between the "Droylsden' community (locally, regionally, nationally, internationally)
4) Establish a tradition where our present and former students' achievements are celebrated
