Whether covid-related or not, death is not on pause like the rest of the country. But without the ability to gather for shiva or funerals, and even graveside ceremonies often limited to the immediate family watching safely from their cars, grief has taken on new dimensions of difficulty.
We want to know how you and your family are approaching mourning during this time, whether it's Zoom shiva calls, distanced burials or simply postponing memorials, and how you're observing and processing loss. Please also send photographs of your lost loved ones, and/or your mourning rituals, to
photos@forward.com.
We'll publish a selection of responses in the coming days.
Be well,
The Forward Staff
