Actonians LFC supports the FA’s Respect programme to ensure football can be enjoyed in a safe, positive environment.
Remember children’s football is a time for them to develop their technical, physical, tactical and social skills. Winning isn’t everything.
Play your part and observe the clubs Code of Conduct for spectators and parents/carers at all times.
For more information about the Respect code please visit:
www.middlesexfa.com/about/respectI will:
· Encourage the players to follow the Clubs code of conduct.
· Remember that all club officials are volunteers and without them we would have no club.
· Never force an unwilling child to play.
· Encourage players to work hard, concentrate and apply themselves and be the best that they can.
· Let the players play and the coaches coach. I will not confuse the players by telling them what to do during both matches and training sessions.
· Applaud effort and good play as well as success of both Actonians teams and their opposition.
· Avoid criticising a player for making a mistake – mistakes are part of learning.
· Remember that hard work and developing as a player is more important than victory. Results of each game should be accepted and reflected on to gain positive experiences that aid development and learning.
· Encourage the players to always show discipline and respect to their team mates, the opposition, the referee and match officials.
· Read the Laws of the Game to better understand what you are watching and commenting on.
· Always respect match and club officials’ decisions, the opposition and their parents/carers.
· Never engage in, or tolerate, offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour at matches, training, in group chats or on social media.
· Remain outside the field of play and within the Designated Spectators’ Area (where provided).
· Ensure that children get to training and matches on time
and in appropriate kit.
· Attend all meetings that either the club or coach calls.
· Remember that children play for
FUN and learn from my example.
