Registration: 2023 Building Critical Black Digital Infrastructure in Cities Week

During the week of April 24, 2023 to April 27, 2023, we will release, nightly, a city report and host a public presentation of #BlackTechFutures Research Institute’s new Black Tech Ecosystem Index (e.g. 57 indicators and 160 metrics) that informs the individual city reports–Dreaming of a Black Tech Future: A Digital Equity Assessment of Local Black Tech Ecosystem–for Birmingham, Memphis, Nashville, and Houston.

The Agenda for each night includes:

  • Remarks from Federal, State, and Local leaders
  • Overview of the Findings and Recomendations
  • A national discussion on how each report can support Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program (BEAD) and Digital Equity Act (DEA) for Black people in US cities

The day and date for each public presentation is below:

  • Monday, April 24, 2023: Birmingham, Alabama, 6:00 pm CST to 8:00 pm CST
  • Tuesday, April 25, 2023: Nashville, Tennessee, 6:00 pm CST to 8:00 pm CST
  • Wednesday, April 26, 2023: Memphis, Tennessee, 6:00 pm CST to 8:00 pm CST
  • Thursday, April 27, 2023: Houston, Texas, 6:00 pm CST to 8:00 pm CST
