Are you a curious student who loves reading, writing, photography or illustration? Do you like to be in the know about what’s happening at school? The Paw Press is looking for student journalists in grades 4 and 5 to produce two newspaper editions this year. The staff will meet every Wednesday and Friday morning from 7:45—8:25 a.m., and students will get hands-on experience generating story ideas, conducting interviews, reporting and writing articles, copy editing, taking photos, writing captions and planning page layout. We’ll talk about the role of the media, learn basic journalism principles and have lots of fun along the way! Advising our students is Veronica Rivera, a BES mom and lover of the arts!
