"Portraits US: Election 2024" is a new Verbatim Performance Lab (VPL) project aimed at better understanding what people living and working in the United States want and expect from a President ahead of the upcoming election. We’re looking to interview participants across the political spectrum to ensure as many perspectives as possible are heard.   

An interviewer trained in a specific protocol will interview you about your thoughts and feelings regarding the US Presidency during the 2024 election cycle. As part of the interviewing process, you can choose to identify using your name, or a pseudonym, or to remain anonymous. Short sections of your interview may be selected, transcribed, and performed verbatim by an actor in a live or recorded performance. Please note that in this style of performance, participants are often portrayed by actors who may look or identify differently than you do. Your interview transcripts may also become part of a published collection of interviews that serve to capture public sentiment at the time of the project. Lastly, it is also possible that your interview may not be used due to limitations of time, space, or duplicative material.
