This application is for students NEW to Gateway International School

Please complete this application to be considered for enrollment during the 2024-25 school year. Only submit one application per student. Families with more than one student should submit one application per student.

If there are more applications received than available spots, the school will hold a random public lottery on April 19th.  If there is a lottery, it will be open to the public and live-streamed on the school's YouTube channel. The lottery will begin at 9:00 AM. Applicants will be notified of acceptance or denial by email within one week after the drawing.

If accepted, new enrollees will need to provide proof of residence, proof of birthdate, and immunization records. The applicant will be disqualified if the application is falsified or if incorrect information is provided. Falsifying any information (including address) will void acceptance. 

All TK-8th grade new applicants interested in attending Gateway International School must apply. 

If a lottery is needed, preference will be given according to the charter specifications which are as follows:
1. Returning GIS students
2. Siblings of returning students who reside within the San Juan Unified School District boundary
3. Siblings of returning students who reside outside the San Juan Unified School District boundary
4. Children of GIS employees who reside within the San Juan Unified School District boundary
5. Children of GIS employees who reside outside the San Juan Unified School District boundary
6. All other applicants who reside within the San Juan Unified School District boundary
7. All other applicants
