Are you good at Instragram "takeovers"?  Can you help?
There's also this movie about Steve Prefontaine that gives additional insight into how Steve thought and what motivated him to do what he did.  I like the other one more I think but here are some clips from "Without Limits."
"Running, one might say, is basically an absurd past time upon which to be exhausting ourselves, but if you can find meaning in the kind of running you would have to do to stay on this team, chances are you'll be able to find meaning in another absurd past time.  Life."  What's he saying here?
Prefontaine doesn't respect the "Sammy Save-Ups" of the world.  What's the Prefontaine race strategy?  Reminds me of the way Katie Ladecky does it.
"The real purpose of running isn't to win a race, it's to test the limits of the human heart."  Why didn't he say that it's to test the limits of the human body?
Running Legend Steve Prefontaine died at the age of 24 in a car accident taking one of the more ferocious, determined people from the world of sport.  But how he lived inspired the underdog in all of us.
I admire this person for his "moxy," which is "a pure powerful force of character, determination and nerve."  He WANTED to go after it, he WANTED to race, he just went out there and SPRINTED.  They say that his desire  and ability to want to run out front until everyone else simply gives up is a talent.  Tell me about how moxy can be a talent and how you would go about becoming talented at "moxy"?
"I'm going to try to work it out so it'll be a pure guts race at the end, and if it is, I'm the only one that can win."  That's moxy.  Why do we people want so much to be like Prefontaine and why then are we still NOT like him?
Talent is a Myth, sometimes it's just who's willing to endure the most.
The last race
Wait I thought Steve was "cocky" with an abundance of confidence.   Why do even the "best" athletes have moments of doubt and how can that help make them great?
Steve didn't run this race like he wanted to, but decided it was best to change his strategy.  It almost didn't work, Steve gave up his advantage and this new race strategy favored his competitor's strengths.  Sometimes you have to do things different depending on the situation.  What helps "Pre" pull this race out ?
The Eulogy of Steve Prefontaine
"Pre was stubborn, he insisted on holding himself to a higher standard than victory."  What did he expect from himself and why?
What made his races "a work of art"?
What makes you an artist as a swimmer and how can you strove to be like Steve Prefontaine?
