DR. MUKERJEE IS OFFERING TWO MORE 90-MINUTE GROUPS ON MAY 24TH AND JUNE 27TH, STARTING AT 6:30PM. USE THE FORM BELOW TO REGISTER!
Mindfulness is an evidence-based approach to dealing with difficult emotions; robust medical and psychological research indicates that mindfulness helps to increase positive thoughts/mood states and decrease anxiety and negative thoughts/mood states. This biweekly 12-week group is open to all LGBTQ-identified people (ages 21+) located in NY State. All sessions will be facilitated by Dr. Ronica Mukerjee via Zoom and will lay the foundation for participants to understand basic principles of mindfulness, develop a personal meditation practice, and apply these principles in their daily lives.
We will be meeting for 4 sessions on Thursdays at 6:30pm in April. This group is limited to 12 participants.
Each group includes instruction, practice, and group discussion within the context of a supportive, LGBTQ-affirming community environment. Some topics that may be addressed in the group are:
* Identifying obstacles to mindfulness
* Developing mindfulness skills
* Practices helpful for improving mood
* Guided meditation
* Self-massage
* Practices to help with physical pain
* Group writing exercises
* Working with difficult emotions & thoughts
* Cultivating positive emotions
* Mindful Interactions, sharing, and discussion
The recommended fee is $25 per session. We offer a sliding-scale for anyone who might be otherwise unable to participate. For further questions, please contact us at
