Métis Veterans Beaded Poppy Workshop

Join us to commemorate WWII Métis Veterans by sharing the history and understanding of the contributions and sacrifices made by Métis Veterans in service to their country and their people. Through beadwork and awareness of the significance of the beaded poppy, LRI is hosting a workshop in partnership with the Métis Veterans Legacy Program that is free for all Métis citizens ages 14 and up who are intermediate-level beaders.

This workshop will include a Métis Beaded Poppy Kit with beading supplies, a workbook on the history of WWII Métis Veterans, and a facilitated session with a local Métis beader. Each workshop is from 5:00PM-8:00PM and takes place monthly from December 2022 to November 2023 at R.B. Russell Vocational School. 10 Spots are available each month on a first-come-first-serve basis.
