GPC Initiatives

GPC is involved in a number of initiatives including:
- litter picking
- broadband improvements
- improving the condition of the verge opposite the school, church and parish hall to create a better, safer parking area
- developing a wild meadow area in the cemetery
- producing a quarterly parish newsletter
- supporting the Devon Climate and Biodiversity Emergency

Devon Climate and Biodiversity Emergency

The Parish Council has declared its support to the Devon Climate and Biodiversity Emergency.
To find out more information and what this means for the parish please visit www.devonclimateemergency.org.uk.
In order to succeed it will require all of us to take action.
We are really keen for community involvement.

Gulworthy Neighbourhood Plan
A Neighbourhood Plan provides an opportunity for communities to set out a positive vision for how they want their community to develop over the next 10-20 years in ways that identify local needs and which make sense to local people.
For example it allows parishioners to influence what housing developments are planned in the area and carries weight when planning decisions are made.
