Call for Papers: Liberty, Legacy, Leadership, open until 19 April 2022.
Our _Liberty, Legacy, Leadership_ conference from 13 to 17 June 2022 and its pre-conference from 12 to 13 June is taking a progressive approach to contributions, in terms of papers, workshops and other inputs from chaplaincy practitioners in higher education and those researching and writing about chaplaincy, religion and belief in the university (www.sheffield.ac.uk/iache2022).

After a successful first call for papers that ran up until 2022, we have now reopened our call for papers, which includes a wide variety of types sessions.  and also are inviting those with sessions already planned to amend there proposals if they so wish.

Please note, the main conference presentation days are Tuesday 14 and Thursday 16 June, and if you can only make part of the conference say so as you complete the form. There is also opportunity to present at the pre-conference on Sunday (12th) or Monday (13th) and you can state a preference for that. If you are joining in with the poster event, that is on the Wednesday evening of the conference.

A key element of the programme is giving plenty of space within the programme for chaplaincy staff to present details of their own practice: we are inviting you to offer a contribution in one of the following ways:
*Poster*: prepare a poster to exhibit and discuss';
*Ignite*: give a 5-minute talk with up to 20 slides;
*Campfire*: present for 10-15 minutes and then facilitate discussions for a further 15 minutes;
*Reading group*: nominate a reading (article, report, book) as stimulus for a group discussion;
*Walkshop*: laminated cards questions are given out and people are encouraged to walk and talk around given topics;
*Workshop*: of varying lengths and styles;
*Alternatives*: if you have an idea for a session not represented here (e.g. a Panel or author and critique), then please suggest.

If you have a second and even a third idea there is space to identify those here too. All your proposals will be peer-reviewed by suitably qualified chaplaincy practitioners and researchers.

This second call will conclude on 19 April 2022.

If receiving confirmation of an accepted paper helps you secure funding and then book on the conference, you can respond to the call without having booked already.

We may be in a position to confirm at any time before then that your proposal is accepted, but we will confirm to all who have offered, if proposals have been accepted by 21 April at the latest. (For those who responded to the first call, confirmation will come by the end of February).

We have three key themes: Liberty, Legacy and Leadership. We also have four sub-themes: chaplaincy and extremism, chaplaincy and empowerment, chaplaincy and research; and chaplaincy and spirituality and well-being. The themes and the sub themes overlap, so rather than choosing only one theme, you can identify which themes and/or sub-themes you understand your idea to address. We will be seeking to link-up contributors, by topic and sub-theme especially in the Campfire style or, in the alternatives, for example a panel or an author presenting their book and a second person offering a critique.

It is worth noting that the four sub-themes will be explored in greater depth at the pre-conference, so if you want to make a more substantial input on one of the sub-themes and to learn from others, then please consider registering for the pre-conference and offering a session then.

(If two people are joint presenters, please can the second person to complete the form too but simply say the name of the session/s and in the information about the session just say 'jointly proposed with [and name the co-presenter' that will be the simplest way. Then we have both names, emails, institutions and 100 word biographies.)
