You may be a fan of my newsletter/instagram account Is This Film School? or you may be a part of the film clubs I run at my job or you may just be an unassuming person who loves movies. Well, you're all invited. In this Summer 2023 series, we will examine the impact, legacy, and artistry of 6 films from the same year: 1976. 

We will meet up on Zoom from 7-8:30 (central time). Discussions will not be recorded. You do not need to attend all sessions to participate. We will discuss the film listed for that date, so make sure you watch it before that class. I've listed some streaming options, but don't underestimate your local library! Criterion Channel is also an excellent streaming service that often goes under the radar.

July 3rd: Introduction and Welcome (no preparations needed!)

July 10th: Rocky (currently on Netflix)

July 17th: Carrie (currently on Hulu or Amazon Prime with a Showtime add-on)

July 24th: Logan's Run (currently only available to rent)

July 31st: Taxi Driver (currently on Max - formerly HBO Max)

August 7th: All the President's Men (currently on Max)

August 14th: Network (currently on Max)

COST: This is a Pay-What-You-Can series! That means you can pay $0.00 or you can pay $1 Million or anything in between. Suggested payment is $25. You can pay through venmo, zelle, paypal, or if you are in Chicago, you are more than welcome to hand deliver me cash! Please put "film club" in any memo lines so I can keep track.
