Upper School Parking Pass Form
Parking by students on either campus of North Lakes Academy is a privilege and not a right. This privilege is extended to students of NLA who (1) exhibit acceptable school attendance; (2) adhere to the established NLA Code of Conduct; (3) perform at an expected level of academic achievement (4) practice safe driving practices and (5) have a copy of their current driver’s license on file with the upper school office.

COST
North Lakes Academy school year parking will cost $75 due prior to obtaining a parking pass. If a student acquires their license or transfers into NLA during the school year, then a prorated amount of $8/month will be assessed. Payments are non-refundable as they are used to finance a scholarship for an NLA student and thus are considered donations towards NLA. There will be a family maximum contribution of $100 per school year. Please make checks payable to:  Forest Lake Community Scholarship Foundation.

Students and Parents: Please read the following regulations associated with the privilege of parking on campus. Failure to abide by the regulations may result in the suspension of a student’s parking privilege.

Both student and parent/guardian are required to electronically sign at the end of this form to agree to all terms and regulations of the parking pass.

Student cars are not to be accessed during the school day. Students may not treat their cars as lockers, but should take all necessary items into the building with them each morning. *

If a student chooses to park on either campus of NLA before, during or after the school day or before or after a school event, the student and parent/guardian understand that the vehicle may be subject to periodic inspection by school officials and may be searched at any time and for any reason. *

A student who chooses to park on campus will be considered to be in possession and control of the vehicle and all its contents. The search of vehicles on school campuses is a part of the continuing effort on the part of the Board of Education and school officials to maintain a campus free from weapons, alcohol, drugs and other items which may pose a danger or risk to students and faculty. *

In order to maintain their parking privilege on campus students must have fewer than five unexcused tardies for any reason in one semester. On the fifth tardy parking privileges will be revoked for the remainder of the semester and no refund will be given. *
