Spring Into School Gardening at Washington Youth Garden
Interested in learning more about about techniques for taking care of your school garden? Have questions about gardening? Need supplies to kick off the growing season of your garden? Join us Saturday, March 25th (with Sunday, March 26th rain date) from 11am-12:30pm (current Educator Coaching Program schools arrive at 10am) at the Washington Youth Garden to jump-start the spring growing season in your school garden!
  • Free supplies to prepare your garden for the upcoming season including straw mulch, compost, spring crop seeds (from Share-A-Seed) and cover crop seeds*, and spring seedlings (kale, collards, tatsoi, chard, strawberry slips)**
  • Training at 11am on spring / summer school garden planning and preparing garden beds for spring planting (direct sowing / transplanting)
  • Network with your fellow garden educators from across DC
