The Early Development Index (EDI) is a valid and reliable measurement tool on Kindergarten Readiness. Orange County is leading the nation as the only county collecting this important data from every public school district.  Over the last nine years, First 5 OC Children and Families Commission identified areas of readiness and vulnerability of kindergarten students.  This information is used to inform community and educational planning in the years leading to and following Kindergarten.  Please join us for an informational discussion on how we can prepare our students for school and life and what we can do to change their trajectory if they enter kindergarten with vulnerabilities.
