Spaces at the Knowledge Hub are limited to 25 so we're asking that you confirm how you would like to attend. George would like to see as many faces in person as possible!
George Marshall is the Founding Director of Climate Outreach with 30 years experience in communications, research, and environmental advocacy from grassroots movements to senior government. He has held senior management positions in Greenpeace US and the Rainforest Foundation and has international reputation for his research work on reaching new audiences.
He has designed national level climate communications strategies for Wales, Canada, Colombia and India. He is the author of two books: Carbon Detox (Hamlyn Gaia 2007 ) on personal lifestyle change and carbon counting, and Don't Even Think About It: Why Our Brains are Wired to Ignore Climate Change (Bloomsbury 2016) on the psychology of climate communications, which was described by The Guardian as “the most important book published on climate change in the past few years”. He is also the founder of the Ecovation network, a lead advisor to the European Insulation Industry and has retrofitted two of his former houses.
George will be joining us at the Knowledge Hub in the Pump House, Coton Hill, Shrewsbury for a talk followed by Q&A. The session will also be shared on zoom for those unable to join us in person.
