CapSciComm presents: "Five-Minute Science". This is your chance to practice your public speaking skills in a relaxed environment of your peers. For our inaugural event, our theme will be "How Do We Know...". Your task is to craft a brief talk on how scientists came to understand a specific scientific concept. Explain what the finding is, its importance, and be sure to make it compelling. You can choose a well known topic like DNA or something obscure, just be sure to tell us a good story.

Our Vice-President, Cory Warshaw, has offered to be a resource to all of our participants. Cory has coached  100+ speakers to give TEDx talks, and is a great resource for any aspiring science communicator.
