Thank you for your interest in becoming a part of the leadership team for the Panther Marching Band & Color Guard! This opportunity to serve your peers as a student leader is one that you should take great pride in, and you will be an integral component to making our inaugural year an amazing one! I want to emphasize that
NO PRIOR LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED IN ANY OF THESE AREAS. If you have the heart and interest to lead, this is the thing for you!
The following leadership positions will be opened for the marching band (dependent on the amount registered per section): Section Leaders (Flutes, Clarinets, Saxophones, High Brass aka Trumpet/Mellophone, Low Brass aka Trombones/Tuba, Percussion aka Drumline & Front Ensemble, & Color Guard), Drum Major (Open to All Previous Pep Members), Assistant Drum Major (Open to All Previous Pep Members), Band Secretary/Public Marketing, Band Librarian, & Equipment Manager, & Uniform Manager. **Descriptions of the positions can be found later in the form.
All applicants upon submitting this form will be notified to have a brief (~10 minute) interview with Mr. Gonzales & possible marching band staff (in-person or via Zoom; dependent on availability) the week of May 8th-12th.
- Drum Major Applicants will be asked to conduct the Star-Spangled Banner during either of the band periods on May 7th (B-Day; 5th or 6th Period). Additionally, applicants will be asked to conduct TOP to MEAS. 124 in "Tune In" during their interview (Please see Mr. Gonzales for a Score if Needed; Also on BAND App).
