Last semester we have partially started on the Heart to Heart volunteering, which was cancelled due to COVID-19. The good news is that we decided to go online with Heart to Heart this fall semester. This is a great opportunity for you to earn volunteer hours and make connections with a different medical population. We will be able to call and chat with the patients via phone or Zoom.
Once you sign up, we will send you more information about the paperwork you need to turn in before volunteering which includes waivers, training assessments and a 2-step TB test dated within the last year. If are located in Austin you can get the TB tests done at no cost to you through Nova Medical Centers. If you are not in Austin, you will need to pay out of pocket to complete the tests.
